How to Vote in the 2020 Primary

I’ll be honest - it’s difficult to think about politics right now. While I’m disappointed that we were unable to hold the Primary Election as originally scheduled, I understand that the health and safety of Ohioans must be the top priority. It’s now up to us to defend both our health and our democratic institutions. There will be plenty of time to discuss the campaign and how these massive changes will affect the election. For now, I simply ask that if you have not yet voted, please request an absentee ballot and encourage your family to do the same. Together, we will make our voices heard, in spite of the challenges facing our community.

We are thankful that people will not have to choose between their safety and their constitutional right to vote.  Voting absentee is the safest way to guarantee that your vote is counted without risking the health and safety of those around you.

You can request your absentee ballot through the Franklin County Board of Elections.

The situation is evolving quickly and has changed several times already.  In light of this, it is important to return your absentee ballot as quickly as possible to the following address:

Franklin County Board of Elections

1700 Morse Rd

Columbus, Ohio 43229

The Franklin County Board of Elections also has a drop box on site where you can return your ballot as well.  Please reach out to the Franklin County Board of Elections via phone at 614-525-3100 or email at if you have any questions.
